For me, the perfect day starts with a delicious breakfast. I can definitely recommend the breakfast buffet at our THE MADISON Restaurant. Here, we pay great attention to fresh products which we receive from local manufactures.

Ready to explore Hamburg? Let's go! If you are here for the first time (and not only then), a tour on the hop-on hop-off bus is a personal rcommendation. Line A of the red double-decker buses is a 10-minute walk from the MADISON, right in front of the "Landungsbrücken".

You drive past the Elbphilharmonie, through the historic warehouse district Speicherstadt and the HafenCity with its exciting modern architecture. The city center with the town hall and Alster lake as well as the chic villa district Pöseldorf and of course St. Pauli with its legendary Reeperbahn will be toured as well.

Then, you should go shopping on the Neuer Wall. I love strolling through Hamburg's most exclusive shopping street. You will find international designers such as Chanel, Prada and Cartier as well as elegant owner-operated shops.

Do you love art? Then take a look at the parallel street Alter Wall: number 12 is home to the Bucerius Kunstforum, which changes its exhibition four times a year and also offers family tours. At the end of Neuer Wall, you will find the magnificent city courtyards on the right, called Stadthöfe: four historic courtyards, surrounded by magnificent buildings and a palace. I love the Hotel Tortue's Bar Noir, which has an excellent wine and cocktail menu and where smokers are also welcome.

For a dinner with a view, I recommend the Fischereihafen Restaurant on the Große Elbstraße. Here you can get first-class fish specialties and tasty wines. Our reception will be happy to reserve a table for you.

The Blockbräu is a little more rustic. The restaurant with its own beer, hearty home cooking and a huge sun terrace to the harbor can be found directly at the Landungsbrücken, just a few minutes from the MADISON.
