MY HAMBURG HIGHLIGHTS

A DAY ON THE WATER.
For our guests, a perfect day in Hamburg starts at Marley's Restaurant. Here you can enjoy a fresh, delicious breakfast buffet. In the summer you are also welcome to take breakfast on our lovely terrace. After which you head off for a grand tour of the harbour, which starts at the Landing Bridges. The tour promises not only unique insights into the infrastructure of a major port but also a spectacular view of the bustling harbor promenade. Tours are organized by real Hamburg "characters" who surprise their guests with all sorts of expert knowledge and witty comments. Back on dry land, head towards the historic warehouse district and Hafencity - a very special mix of up-to-date architecture and Hanseatic history.
AROUND THE ALSTER.
In the afternoon, it’s all about shopping in the city. Here everyone is sure to find their favorite shop - from noble to casual, from Alter Wall to the Mönckebergstraße there is such a great variety to choose from. Once underway make sure to plan some time for a tour of the magnificent Town Hall or take a leisurely break at the Bucerius Kunstforum with its changing exhibitions. For those of you who aren’t up for shopping you can just meander around the Alster. A 7.5 kilometer long path leads you completely around the lake and through the city’s beautiful residential areas. Should you feel like taking a break I would recommend the Literaturhaus Hamburg, where you can enjoy excellent coffee specialties, delicious cake and for you late risers they even offer breakfast until 6 p.m.
HAMBURG BY NIGHT.
The evening begins by seeing one of the numerous theater pieces or musicals the city has to offer. From cabarets to musical masterpieces, Hamburg offers everything your heart desires. All you have to do is decide what to see! Short of being a classic: Disney’s “The Lion King” has been playing now for 14 years and is still as popular as ever. And it couldn’t be easier to for our guests: from the MADISON it is just ten minutes away including the passage by boat. Afterwards there is a plethora of opportunities for enjoying the rest of the evening either at the legendary Reeperbahn or in the trendy, yet still very cozy, Schanzenviertel.
