MY HAMBURG TIPS
Julia Dethlefs, Director of Sales & Marketing
My sweet vice: Freshly baked curd cheese balls
My personal tip: Guided tour through the container port with "Jasper - Eye to Eye with the Giants"
My favourite place: The terrace at the restaurant AlsterCliff with a glas of Aperol Spritz in my hand, overlooking the Outer Alster lake
From the MADISON it’s a short walk downtown. On your way you pass by lots of little boutiques and stores and can meander through the Europa-Passage and the Spitalerstrasse, where you can discover lots of beautiful things.
Our beautiful Inner Alster is located in the heart of the downtown area - a little oasis amid the shops, office buildings and the hustle and bustle of the city’s traffic.
Our walk takes us over the Kennedy and Lombards Bridges to the Outer Alster. Alone the view is purely relaxing!
Then you can head back to THE MADISON either on foot or conveniently by bus and subway.
After a short break in the hotel, we go to the restaurant "Henssler Go" for dinner. It is not only our sense of taste that gets his money's worth here. You eat with your eyes, too. And if you prefer to stay in the hotel, you can also have the sushi delivered.
And since it is now dark outside, we go to St. Michaelis church. The church is impressive during the day and the view from above is fantastic. But the view over Hamburg (including the harbor) in the dark with thousands of lights is something really special.
