My perfect day begins, when I am woken by the sun and not my alarm clock. After strolling around the farmer’s market I stop by the Kleine Bäckerei and bring home fresh, oven-warm rolls and tasty nougat croissants.
Full of energy and a thirst for action I head out on foot for the Schanzenviertel: I’m sure you’ll like wandering along the Susannnenstraße, the Schanzenstrasse and all the other little streets with their numerous small shops as much as I do!
What you have to take time for first is a stop at the Rindermarkthalle. In the old central cattle market you can now find an exciting mix of a covered farmer’s market, culinary offerings and a cultural community center.
A walk through the park Planten un Blomen rounds off the afternoon perfectly: you can relax in one of the park’s many themed gardens, perhaps in a little sunny spot? It gets really romantic here on summer evenings: the water and light show set to beautiful music is breathtaking and for free.
As my perfect day comes to an end, I am looking forward to enjoy eating at Maral in Eppendorfer Baum. This is where you'll find, in my opinion, the best sushi in town. Be sure and try their delicious teriyaki sauce! How convenient that the subway U3 stops right next door - just hop on and be taken to Baumwall.
