Anyone can do sightseeing by bus. So set off by bike instead through the city on the Elbe and get to know Hamburg in the best way. As our MADISON Hotel is very centrally located, it is the ideal place to start your bike tour - we will be happy to provide you with a bike for 14.00 EUR per day.

Around the MADISON
Just walk out the door and you’ll cease to be amazed: all around the MADISON you will find many of the most beautiful sightseeing attractions for which Hamburg is famous. Just a short stroll and you are already at the harbor and the Landungsbrücken, where cruise liners and barges are both at home.
Elbphilharmonie
It just may have already have replaced the landmark St. Michaelis Church: Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, lovingly called “Elphi”, has by now become well-known far beyond the city limits - and not only because of the seemingly never ending construction difficulties, but especially because of its unique, bold architecture.
St. Michaelis Church
St. Michaelis church is probably THE landmark of Hamburg and located direclty next to our hotel. Lovingly called "Michel", the church was build in 1647 and is, since then, one of the most historically sites in town. Sailors from all over the world used the St. Michaelis church as point of orientation in the harbour.
Speicherstadt
The Speicherstadt is the worlds largest continuous warehouse complex and is located just a stones throw away from the MADISON Hotel. Based on the history, there are many famous museums to be found -Miniatur Wunderland, just to give an example.
Harbor
You haven't been to Hamburg without visiting the harbour. Between Elbphilharmonie, St. Pauli Landungsbrücken and fish market, you find many sights. Visit the cargo ship Rickmer Rickmers which is Hamburg's floating landmark or get in board of the Cap San Diego, a museum freighter and Hamburg's "White Swan".
