When coming from Flensburg:
A7 to the »Bahrenfeld« exit. Follow the signs direction »Zentrum« along the Von-Sauer-Straße, Bahrenfelder Chaussee, Stresemannstraße and further along the B4 or Budapester Straße, along the Millerntordamm, to the Ludwig-Erhard-Straße. At the underground station »Rödingsmarkt« turn right and drive to the next traffic light. Turn right again and you will have arrived in the Schaarsteinweg.

When coming from Lübeck and Bremen: 
A1 to the Autobahn intersection »Dreieck Hamburg Ost« and follow the A24 in the direction »Zentrum«. After the Elbbrücken (Elb Bridges) drive in the direction »Hafen«. After passing through the Amsinckstraße drive through the tunnel straight along in the direction »Hafen/Landungsbrücken«. After you have driven under the underground bridge you will have directly arrived in the Schaarsteinweg.

When coming from Hanover: 
Drive in the direction to Hamburg. A1/ A255 in the direction »Zentrum«. After the Elbbrücken (Elb Bridges) drive in the direction »Hafen«. After passing through the Amsinckstraße drive through the tunnel straight along in the direction »Hafen/Landungsbrücken«. After you have driven under the underground bridge you will have directly arrived in the Schaarsteinweg.

When coming from Berlin: 
A24 to Autobahn intersection »Dreieck Hamburg Ost«. Take the A1 direction »Bremen«, then the A255 direction »Zentrum«. After passing through the Amsinckstraße drive through the tunnel straight along in the direction »Hafen/Landungsbrücken«. After you have driven under the underground bridge you will have directly arrived in the Schaarsteinweg.

From Hamburg Airport by car:
Follow the traffic signs to »Zentrum« and to the green area of the car-park-routing system in the direction Hafen/ Michel/ Landungsbrücken. Turn right into »Rödingsmarkt« from the »Ludwig-Erhard-Strasse«. Turn right again at the first traffic light and after ca. 200 meters the Madison will be on your right.

The Madison Hotel Hamburg is absolutely central located, between the harbor, the Michel Church and the city center. Most places of interest and the shopping district are within walking distance.

with the train:

From Hamburg Airport with the subway:
Travel with the subway S1 in the direction »Hauptbahnhof/Wedel«. There is no need to change trains. The travelling time to our subway station »Stadt-hausbrück« is approximately 30 minutes. Follow the exit signs to »Herrengraben/Michaelisstrasse«. At the next little intersection turn right into the »Herrengraben«. After about 400m turn right into the »Schaarsteinweg« and the hotel will be to your right.

From the Central Train Station:
Take the subway. It is only four stops with the U3 in the direction of the »Landungsbrücken«. The station where you exit is »Baumwall« and is only a two-minute walk from the hotel. The street »Stubbenhuk« lies between the subway entrances and leads you directly to the hotel.

Travel advisory for the subway from May 5th – October 3rd.
Due to construction work the subway line U3 is be completely closed between Baumwall and Rathaus during the above mentioned time period. As an alternative you can, however, take the line S1 in the direction of Wedel. It is only 2 stops from the central station to »Stadthausbrücke«. Follow the exit signs to »Herrengraben/Michaelisstrasse«. At the next little intersection turn right into the »Herrengraben«. After about 400m turn right into the »Schaarsteinweg« and the hotel will be to your right.
